Letter # 1046 Cancer patient in need Letter #1046
I work for St. Joseph Health Regional Cancer Care. I work with some amazing cancer patients each and every day; as do my colleagues. We have several patients that have some real needs. I know that Christmas is over a month away, but some of these needs are more urgent, so I thought I would tell you ahead of time.
Ignacio is a very sweet and thoughtful 58 year old man who has prostate cancer. The cancer has left him unable to work. He struggles to make ends meet and also worries about his immigration status and what would happen to his treatment if he was to be deported. He is a prideful man and doesn't want to accept financial help or ask for it. However, if we could give him a Visa card, Target or Safeway, I know that he would find those very useful for his daily needs.
Thank you Santa for helping me with Ignacio.
