Letter # 1217 Single father needs Christmas help Letter #1217
I'm writing this letter on behalf of a deserving family who could really use a bit of Christmas cheer this year.
Alex is a mentally ill, single father with two teenage girls, 12 and 15 years old. The family lost their mother some time ago. The dad has tried very hard to keep his little family together, but when he lost his job, they lost their housing and the family is now homeless and living in a shelter until they can get back on their feet.
The girls are typical teenagers, interested in movies and reading Young Adult books. Both girls are creative and love drawing and art. They need warm jackets (size 14-16, and basic clothing, (underwear, size medium, socks) and the chance to look and be, like other girls their age. The girls shoe sizes are 6 1/2 and 8 1/2.
Alex isn't asking for anything for himself. He only wants the girls to have a good Christmas. Dad is struggling with his mental illness and trying to get back on his feet to reunite his family. It's difficult for him to access the help he needs, but I know that he needs some warm clothing himself. He is a size large.
Anything you can do, Santa, to make this a Happier Christmas for this family, would be so very appreciated.
