Letter # 139 Disabled elderly coupleneed help with many "after fire" needs Letter # 139
Our names are Deborah and Jesse Castillo and we live in an independent living environment in Santa Rosa.
I am writing to you today because my family has a problem. My husband and I are both permanently disabled and receiving SSDI. Like many others, we had severe smoke damage from the October 2017 fires. Due to our breathing disorder, we had to discard all our furniture.
We are praying that Secret Santa can help us out by granting our needs. 1. a car/suv that would accommodate morbidly obese couple and walker for multiple medical visits, groceries, and independence.
2We desperately need two recliners. We understand 2 recliners may be cost prohibitive and therefore would be grateful for at least one as we both need to elevate our feet.
3Warm clothing: size 4x for women, 2x for men (gift certificate may be easier)
If we were able to get this assistance from Secret Santa it would help immensely. I am also allergic to most materials.
Thank you very much and I wish you the best for the holiday season.
