Letter # 2472 Single Mom in need

My name is Melisaa and I live in WINDSOR.

I am writing to you today because my family has a problem. As a student and single mom it has been hard this year with the cost of an unexpected divorce, the evacuation and replacement of groceries. I am on an extremely fixed income and now choosing between groceries, childcare, gas and Christmas is becoming extremely overwhelming.

We are wishing that Secret Santa can help us out by granting this wish. My son could use a new pair of shoes size 13 or 1 (no red or blue). He likes Minecraft and Pokémon. He is 7.

My daughter is begging for a bike 18” but she could use rain/winter boots in a 12. She is 5.

Fuel cards for Costco or Safeway would be so very helpful as they are the least expensive fuel stations.

If we were able to get this help from Secret Santa it would help. The kids in our neighborhood all have bikes, even her brother and she fees like she is missing out. But she could really use warm boots that fit and will keep her feet dry on the walk to school. My sons shoes are badly worn , toes are thread bare and really need replacing but we are trying to make it work with what we have. The kids are wonderful kids with great hearts and they know I can’t afford Christmas. They even said that they only want whatever santa brings.

Thank you very much and I wish you the best for the holiday season.
