Letter # 3045 Sick of beeing Sick #3045

Dear Secret Santa,
I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and medication failed to manage it properly. Along with my own illness and covid, this year has put us under huge stress. I just had surgery to remove my thyroid in late august. After spending the rest of the year in and out of the hospital unable to work. We are set back financially to say the least and I’m just being able to accomplish activities of daily living and getting back to a normal routine. I appreciate this opportunity and am grateful for anyone willing to read this.

I’d just like for my boys who are 6 & 3 to have a nice Christmas and not go without. Due to my illness we have a very strict budget moving forward and unfortunately if we can’t get help they will go without. I’m former foster youth and don’t have family to rely on for help, so it’s just us trying to make ends meet. Luckily, I have all my older sons hand me down clothes for the youngest but my oldest could use some new clothing, everything from pants and shirts to socks and underwear. When it comes to toys they love being able to go and pick even just one gift out when we’re at the store so gift cards would make their day. My oldest got lucky and got a bike for Christmas one year so I’d love for my three year old to get one so he can play with his brother. The oldest likes Pokémon, Minecraft, fortnite, and Mario. The youngest likes baby shark, hot wheels, remote control cars, and Pokémon like his big brother. For me I’d just love help with a Christmas dinner to be able to give them a memorable day spent with family.

If we were able to get this help from Secret Santa it would help. These items will give them something to celebrate and keep some sort of normalcy during the holidays despite how hard the rest of this year has been. I just want them to be able to have the same opportunity as other kids they know and don’t feel less than. I have worked so hard to keep them from the life I had and due to my health issues and covid this year I just fall short and I don’t want them to feel my burden.

Thank you very much and I wish you the best for the holiday season.
