Dear Secret Santa,
I am writing this letter for a friend who has late stage COPD and Emphysema. She gets very winded walking so mostly rides a scooter to get around and has oxygen tanks with her at all times. She is a very kind woman who is full of gratitude. She lived homeless for many years and even on the streets she was always helping someone. She is happily housed and has been maintaining her housing for a few years. Her struggles now are her medical conditions.
With the late stage COPD and Emphysema, even with oxygen is hard to breathe. She is mostly homebound now. When her apartment air is cool she can breathe way better. The unit she lives in doesn't have AC year round but she loves her apartment community. It would make her so happy to have a portable AC Unit in her apartment so she could have cool air year round. She needs a portable air conditioning unit that does not need window access or installation.
