I am writing to you on behalf of an incredibly selfless and dedicated local grandmother, who has consistently gone above and beyond for her grandchildren. She has guardianship of four grandchildren and has recently taken in her two-year-old grandson on a temporary safety plan, leaving her to care for five children full-time.
In addition to her full-time caregiving duties, her youngest grandson has medical concerns that require frequent trips to UCSF for specialized appointments. With the constant driving to appointments, activities, and errands, Grandma is struggling to afford the fuel she needs to get by.
