Dear Secret Santa,


I am writing in the hopes that you can bring a little holiday joy to a very special family this Christmas.


This family is a single mother raising two strong boys and one bright, sparkling little girl. They have faced immense challenges just trying to stay housed and put food on the table. For them, there is no such thing as unnecessary spending, and they often rely on food bank giveaways. Most of the children’s clothes come from secondhand stores, and every dollar is stretched as far as it can go.


The mother also faces serious health issues that have led to multiple hospitalizations, which only adds to the stress of living in poverty. Her children live with the fear that they might lose her, and this burden makes it even harder for her to feel she can give them a joyful Christmas. While her situation is not unique, it breaks my heart to see her carry such guilt for not being able to provide the same kind of holiday that many other families can.


It would be a true blessing if this family could receive a Christmas dinner—one they can share together without worrying about stretching their monthly food budget. They’ve also dreamed of having a Family Movie Night, something simple and joyful, but one they know they can’t afford to do.
